Abandoned Responsibility
Their tears are soft, their bodies very frail;
The night so cold, it chills them to the bone.
In hopeless times, they’re left to live alone,
Among others who try and try but fail.
They weep and mourn for fear of pending death;
Their souls cry out for freedom from the dark;
They pray to God in heaven to give a spark
In hearts so thankful to breathe another breath.
A father’s abuse, a mother’s wrathful neglect;
The blood and tears still flow, O will they cease?
So little has been done to bring them peace,
For no one humbly gives them love or respect .
The children within streets, for relief they plead,
The Church should come to help in time of need.
